In partnership with Power Up North London we’ve been working hard to lower our carbon footprint and work towards Islington Council’s aim to create a net zero carbon Islington by 2030. To date we’ve saved over 40 tonnes of carbon!

Free 5-week Sewing Courses

with The Recycle & Stitch Studio

Thursdays: Adults 1-3pm Young Adults (13-19) 4-6pm

 Join us for our new Recycle & Stitch Studio! Free 5-week courses with small groups of 4/5 people. You'll get 1-1 support, learning hand and machine sewing techniques. We focus oon teaching skills with sustainability, using vintage, donated and upcycled fabrics. Design & Storytelling Sessions.. in preparation for our Jubilee Festival! 

Design Session - for the community Mosaic:

Monday 23rd May 2022, 12-2pm in the Community Room (ground floor)

Help us design our next mosaic! We'll be design a mosaic that will be created by everyone at the Jubilee Festival on the 4th June. So come along, feel free to bring magazines or images for collage and items to includes in the mosaic - such as broken tiles, crocery, and even unusual knick-knacks! (The mosaic will be going outside so items need to hold up to the weather, e.g. ceramic, glass, plastic)

Multilingual Storytelling

Monday 23rd May 2.30-4.30pm, Wednesday 25th May 2.30-4.20pm, Friday 27th May 11am-4pm (please contact us for room location)

As part of the festival we'll be telling stories, both live and pre-recorded, in as many languages as we can! We're holding sessions to record people telling a story, poem, or anecdote, which we'll then play on the big day!
