Our volunteer Lydia Araya from Caxton House Time Bank was presented with the volunteer of the year award at the IVAC AGM held on Monday 23rd November 2009.
The award was in the long service achievement category and it was presented by the Mayor of Islington. These awards aim to reward volunteers for their individual efforts within our community.
Volunteer Required
Caxton House is a community centre located in North Islington, whose objectives include the provision of facilities and services to local people, the promotion of self-development and educational opportunities and the organizing of social groups, advice surgeries and support groups. We work with individuals, the local authority, voluntary organisations and other community projects. We are seeking a volunteer with a financial background to provide accounting support on an occasional basis.
